Some days just feel like too much, right? When it all starts piling up and you’re about to lose it, take a moment to breathe—literally.
Try 5-minute belly breathing for stress relief!
How to do it: Sit (we’re pictured lying down, but seated works too) or lie down in a comfy position. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly. Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, letting your belly rise as your hand feels the movement. Exhale slowly through your nose, letting your belly fall. Repeat for 5 minutes.
A “belly breath” is just another way to say “diaphragmatic breathing.” It uses your diaphragm to pull air into your lungs, so your belly expands as you inhale, not your chest. This kind of breathing helps your body’s relaxation response kick in, calming your mind and reducing stress.
Next time it feels like too much, try this—it’s like hitting the reset button.
